Allen & Company Expands to Volusia County; Uses Tucker Ranch to Educate Industry Leaders on Geospatial Scanning Best Practices
Volusia County, FL, November 1, 2023 – Allen & Company, a premier mapping, surveying, and geospatial services firm located in Central Florida, is proud to announce the opening of a specialized practical location at Tucker Ranch. This seven-acre public park offers an educational site established by Allen & Company specifically for training its teams in specialized data capture. The ranch provides an opportunity to acquire a diverse range of data capture, and what is learned there will be shared across the surveying business. The site also allows for the use of aerial survey technology as part of this process. The park is located less than three miles from the company’s home office. This project, which is titled “ Tucker Ranch: A Culmination of Advanced Technology for Surveyors,” represents a part of the company’s ongoing expansion into Volusia County. The Project location is 100 Avalon Rd, Winter Garden, FL 34787.
“Tucker Ranch will be a game-changer for our industry,” said James Rush, Quality Assurance and Quality Control Manager with Allen & Company. “The ranch will provide a perfect location for practical training in surveying, subsurface utility exploration, and construction. We will be training the leaders of tomorrow with the latest technology.”
Tucker Ranch was envisioned as a location where Allen & Company’s teams of surveyors could better understand the newest advancements in surveying technology and how to leverage that training to better apply sensor technology when working in the field. This allows them to quickly decide what types of surveying sensors to utilize when on a job site that requires mapping and geospatial technology.
Allen & Company is partnering on the Tucker Ranch project with other firms like RIEGL, FARO Technologies, Teledyne Optech, Baam.Tech, Z+F, Exyn, NavVis, Triad Drones, and Emesent. Bringing together these forward-driven companies at this location will ensure the industry meets its current and future needs for state-of-the-art surveying technology and knowledge.
