(Orlando, FL) — Allen & Company, LLC, a premier provider of surveying, mapping, and geospatial services in the Greater Orlando area serving clients across the state of Florida, is celebrating a milestone moment as it relocated to a larger, headquarters-style facility from where it will continue delivering its services ahead of its upcoming 40th anniversary.

On March 1st, 2026, all of Allen & Company’s staff, equipment, and operations have moved fully into its new headquarters building, located at 340 East Crown Point Rd. in Winter Garden, Florida—a location large enough to hold the entire company under one roof.

Founded in 1988 by President Butch Allen, Allen & Company has been working as a professional surveying and mapping company, supporting Central Florida’s top names in the construction, development, industrial, and hospitality industries.

Allen & Company delivers core services including ALTA surveys, as-builts, topographic maps, horizontal and vertical control, plot plans, staking, and elevation certifications, along with many other project-specific deliverables.

Additionally, the company’s use of aerial photogrammetry and LiDAR, along with its experience in hydrographic mapping and bathymetric analysis, has given Allen & Company an edge over small to medium-sized surveying firms by extending its capabilities to deliver commercial and industrial solutions for large-scale developments.

Allen & Company Brings Geospatial Laser Scanning to 7-Acre Tucker Ranch Project

Winter Garden, FL, November 15, 2023 – Allen & Company, a premier mapping, surveying, and geospatial services firm located in Central Florida, is proud to announce that the practical applications of the laser scanning technology used at its Tucker Ranch project are already bringing in significant data sets. The ranch provides a location to acquire a diverse range of data capture using a variety of devices and tools from Allen & Company’s laser scanning resources—which will then be shared with industry partners for the betterment of all.

The seven-acre public park is being used for the application of Terrestrial, Mobile, and Airborne laser sensor technology. Tucker Ranch, located just 2.5 miles from Allen & Company’s HQ office in Winter Garden, provides an ideal training site for drone pilot training, crew chief training, and junior crew chief preparation.

“Tucker Ranch will be a game-changer for our industry,” said James Rush, Quality Assurance and Quality Control Manager with Allen & Company, adding that the overall effort required 400 hours’ worth of work to complete. “The ranch provides a perfect location for practical training in surveying, subsurface utility exploration, and construction. We will be training the leaders of tomorrow with the latest laser scanning technology.”

Allen & Company’s collaborators include RIEGL, FARO Technologies, Teledyne Optech, Baam.Tech, Z+F, Exyn, NavVis, Triad Drones, and Emesent. Allen & Company is already taking advantage of information gleaned from 9 sensor manufacturers totaling 17 data sets across the site. The data sets have already been downloaded over 1,500 times only three weeks after coming online. As the project’s scope expands, more data sets from DJI and FARO will be added.

Allen & Company & Allen3D to Highlight Digital Twin Technology at I/ITSEC “Innovation Showcase”

The presentation will take place as part of this year’s “Innovation Showcase” and will highlight the latest innovations in modeling and simulation.

During the presentation, Ryan Thomas, Sales Director at Allen3D, will outline how the company, by partnering with Gafcon Digital, continues to innovate in areas such as VR, XR, modeling and simulation (MODSIM), artificial intelligence, and digital twin engineering. Thomas will also discuss how the technologies are applied across multiple sectors, such as historical preservations, defense contracting, and construction.

Allen & Company Partners with Civil Engineer Zev Cohen on Single-Family Development Project in Volusia County

Volusia County, FL, February 13, 2024 – Allen & Company, a premier mapping, surveying, and geospatial services firm headquartered in Central Florida, is proud to announce its work with civil engineer Zev Cohen and Associates, Inc. (ZCA) on a residential single-family development project located in Daytona Beach on LPGA Blvd. The scope of work for Allen & Company included mapping underground utilities, soft dig excavation, corner staking, and route surveys.

The project required setting aerial targets and recording horizontal and vertical data for LiDAR and photogrammetry in Phases 1 and 2. Given Allen & Company’s expertise in surveying, the firm applied its knowledge to identify and record all above-ground features, as well as the designation of all underground utilities. The company also conducted topographic surveys in concert with ZCA, an industry leader in utility infrastructure design.

“Partnering with Zev Cohen on a project of this complexity ensures that the requirements of all above- and below-ground utility work is properly addressed,” said Butch Allen, Founder and President of Allen & Company. “We’re proud of the partnership and work we did to meet the needs of the development and client.”

The two firms collaborated on such local site work as platting, setting of centerline control points and corner monuments, and collecting spot-grade elevations. The work also entailed vacuum excavation for water main and sanitary force main connections as part of their survey to ensure a proper roadway connection with Grande Champion Blvd. in Phase 2.
